Spotlight on Dolbadarn Castle, from Dinorwic Quarry

This image was taken whilst standing on a windswept hillside above Llanberis, whilst trying to dodge the rainshowers. Rays of sunshine were breaking through the clouds and appearing to travel across the landscape. I waited almost an hour for one of the rays to hit the right spot and highlight Dolbadarn Castle.
This particular image is different from the usual scene which typically depicts Dolbadarn Castle. From this vantage point, it was fantastic to see the different colours and textures which make up this great landscape in Snowdonia National Park, North Wales.
